Sammy, Gaby, and Kelly are at the school library. The friends have heard about a fun book and can’t wait to look at it together.
“What do you think it’s about?” Gabby asks curiously. They cannot wait any longer, and open the book together. It is a picture of a colourful rainbow.

“Ah, I saw a rainbow yesterday when I was chasing a mouse!” says Kelly, turning to the next page.
On the next page, there is a picture of a bunch of bananas. Mmmmm..ut..now I wish it was lunchtime,” says Sammy.
“You’re always hungry. Blech….” laughs Kelly, who does not like bananas at all.
on the next page, there of an aeroplane. Gabby hops up to the corner of the book.
“I love flying through the clouds!” exclaims Gabby.
The friends continue to look through the book but are surprised when Kelly suddenly backs away and hisses angrily. This scares Gabby and Sammy looks up, feeling confused.
“why are you upset, Kelly? it’s just a picture of a lion,” says Sammy.
“It’s okay,” says Gabby, coming over to give Kelly a hug.
“Thanks, Gabby. You’re right. It’s only a picture.
Next time I’ll take a deep breath when I feel upset, says Kelly, who has started to calm down.
The friends have taken turns flipping the page. Now it’s Sammy’s turn, which reveals a big, green present.
“Yes! I love presents !” says Sammy with joy. Kelly and Gabby wish they could open the package and see what is hiding inside. Their favourite part is tearing the paper and pulling at the ribbons.
“Now it’s my turn,” says Gabby, and stops at a drawing of a white flower.
“Boring, let’s keep going says Summy, who wants to continue on to a different page.
“Wait, I like the flower,” cries Gabby.
Sometimes people have different opinions, thinks Sammy patiently.
“Help, a ghost!” cries Gabby, whose ears fold down like blindfold down like a blindfold. Kelly and Sammy both look at Gabby, worried. “Gabby, it’s fine. Remember that it’s only a picture,” explains Kelly with a soothing voice.
Sammy and Kelly give Gabby a hug, and Gabby slowly peeks out. “You, ‘re right. Thank you for understanding that I can get scared sometimes,” says Gabby, feeling a little safer.
The friends continue to browse through the book. A soccer ball! Maybe that’s something everyone likes,” says Sammy.
“Look, a treasure chest! What if It’s filled with toys, sighs Kelly Dreamily.
Sammy starts to lick the book! “You’re silly!” laughs Gabby, giving Sammy a friendly push.
“You know you can’t eat that ice cream, it’s not real!
And good friends respect each other’s differences, thinks Sammy.
What do your friends like that you don’t?
