This morning our teacher read out a story about a grasshopper who did not do the right thing at the right time.
It was a day in the summer. The sun was shining brightly. A grasshopper was sitting alone making merry. An ant passed by carrying a seed. The ant was comfortable in its nest underground. It had enough good to eat. The grasshopper had no food. He was cold and hungry. He came and knocked at the ant’s door.
He asked the ant to give him some food to eat. The ant said,
“The long summer is gone,

With your merry song,
Now, you be gone!”
Our teacher told us that the grasshopper did not act at the right time. He said. “If we do things at the right time, we will be happy.”
