THE CAUTIOUS SPARROW

Once upon a time, there was a farmer in a village. He had a small field on the outskirts of his village. He was a very hard-working man. He harvested three crops every year. there were some trees in his field and some sparrows built their nests in those trees. The sparrows usually destroy his crops.

One day, the former had an idea! He said to himself. “This time, I will sow bhindi seeds in my field. When the crop is read, I will make ropes out of its fibres. Then I will weave a net from that rope. I will spread the net in my field and trap all sparrows.”

The farmer ploughed the field and sowed bhindi seeds. One of the sparrows was very clever. She cautioned all the other sparrows, “Do you know why the farmer is sowing bhindi seeds this time? I think he has planned to make a net from the Bhindi fibres and trap us. Come on, let us go to the field together and destroy the seeds. ” But the other sparrows laughed at her advice and said, “This sparrow is over-cautious. Let’s not listen to her.” Soon, the crop was ready to harvest. The clever sparrow once again cautious sparrow then flew away to a safe place.

Soon the farmer not only harvested the crop but also made a net to trap the sparrows. He spread the net in the field. The sparrows came out from the nest, as usual, and saw the grains but did not notice the net. As soon as they landed on the field, they were all trapped in the net.

The sparrows remembered the warning of the wise sparrow and repented. But it was too late.
