Rajma Guggillu

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rajma/Kidney beans
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 1 Red chilli
  • 1/4 cup Chopped onion
  • Coriander leaves for Garnishing
  • Salt as needed

Instructions

  1. Soak kidney beans overnight or at least 8 hours.
  2. Pressure cook rajma for 2 whistles and drain water. (Add needed salt)
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and allow it to pop. Add curry leaves and red chilli.
  4. Then add cooked rajma.
  5. Gently mix everything turn off the flame and add chopped onion.

Recipe Notes

  1. You can add shredded coconut before turning off the flame.
  2. Apart from red chilli, you can add chopped green chilis too for spiciness.
  3. If you want to enhance the taste, you can add 1/2 Tsp of chat masala.

6. Finally, garnish with coriander leaves.
