Ponganalu is a traditional snack and breakfast recipe of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. Prepared at home with simple ingredients like dosa batter, onions, curry leaves, and some spices. It is taken in combination with peanut or coconut and pudina chutney. Some of the famous hotels are found in Hyderabad. Easily prepared at home.
Ingredients of Ponganalu
200 grams of dosa batter
2 spring curry leaves (chopped small)
2 small green chillies chopped
2 small chopped onions
1 pinch salt
1 pinch of Vanta soda
Oil
How to make ponganalu
Take the leftover dosa batter and mix it with chopped green chillies, Onions, curry leaves, salt and Vanta soda. Use a spoon to make sure that the batter ingredients are mixed.

Take the ponganala pan(Ceramic Pan) and grease it with a little oil. Pour the batter into the moulds. Do not fill the moulds completely. Fill the moulds only 3/4 full, as the balls will expand during cooking.

place the ponaganala pan on the burner and cook for 5 minutes each side over low flame. Take out on a plate and serve hot with coconut or Grounut or samber and pudina chutney.
