Pickled Rice / Pandu Mirchi Pickled Rice

Red Chilli Pickle popularly known as pandu mirapakaya pachadi. The most important ingredient in Andhra & Telangana kitchens is Chilli (Mirchi) without this cooking is impossible. We use Guntur chillis to make this mouth-watering pickle.

Mix Red Chilli Pickle with hot steamed rice for a quick and flavorful rice dish. The tanginess adds a delightful twist to every grain.

Table of Contents

  • 11/2 cup Cooked Rice
  • 2 tsp Fresh Pandu Mirapakaya Chutney
  • 1 big Onion chopped

For Tempering

  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tsp Chana Dal
  • 1 Red Chilli crocked
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • 3 tsp Oil
  1. Heat oil in a pan add tempering ingredients and fry, when they splutter add curry leaves.

2. chopped onion and stir.

3. Stir- fry until the onion is transparent remove from the fire and add it to cooked rice.

4. Mix well along with pandu mirchi pachadi and close the lid for 5 mins, now pickled rice is ready to serve, serve it with curd.
