Cucumber Raita

Cucumber is a nutritious food with high water content. Vitamin K helps with Trusted Source blood clotting, and it may support bone health.

Table of Contents

  • 1 small cup of Yogurt/Curd
  • 5 tsp finely chopped cucumber
  • 2 Green Chillies finely chopped(Optional)
  • 1tsp finely chopped Coriander Leaves(Optional)
  • Salt to taste

For Tempering (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
  • 2 Red Chillies
  • few Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Oil

Place the yoghurt into a mixing bowl and mix. Then add the above ingredients except for Tempering.

Mix well and keep aside.

Heat oil in a small frying pan add Tempering ingredients and fry, once done add it to the prepared curd mixture and mix well.

Now Cucumber raita is ready. Serve it as a side dish for rice, Vegetable Biryani or roti.
